N -  Nether

The term Nether refers to " below " ie. mainly used in place names and in our District more directly used as farm names eg. Nether Robertland- below the Robertland Estate. The local primary school is called Nether Robertland Primary School and there was a mill called Nether Robertland Mill also on the Robertland Estate.
